Infection Control

An infection control has the highest priority at our clinic. This is reflected in our investment in infection control equipments. We are the first to own Italian made Euronda class B autoclave in the area, which exceeds the FDA standards of sterilization. Even for instrument rinsing, specialized ultrasonic cleaner, Biosonic by coltene-whaledent, is used.
We follow all the disinfection and sterilization procedures needed for infection control. These are used for each and every patient to prevent the transmission of AIDS virus and other infectious diseases. All our staff involved in patient care use appropriate protective gears such as gloves and masks. After each patient’s visit, the gloves are discarded, hands are washed and a new pair of gloves is used for the next patient.
Between each appointment, dental chairs are disinfected with special spray. Chairs are covered with protective plastic sheaths, which are also changed regularly between the patients. Whole chair is wiped clean with disinfection solutions. Suctions, which are used to suck patient’s saliva, are rinsed with disinfectant solutions and a new tip is used for each patient.
NEEDLESS TO SAY THAT THE DISPOSABLES LIKE NEEDLES, SYRINGES GLASSES, PATIENT’S DRAPES ARE ALL FOR ONE TIME USAGE & TO BE DISCARDED AFTER ONE USE.
We Follow Four Tier Sterilization Protocol For Non Disposable Instruments.
Tier 1: Washing and Rinsing
After use, instruments are kept in a soap solution. All the Instruments Are Scrubbed Thoroughly to Remove Any Attached Debris and they are rinsed and dried.
Tier 2: Ultrasonic Disinfection
All the washed instruments are subjected to ultrasonic cleaning in Biosonic cleaner. Biosonic uses a specially developed enzymatic disinfectant solution, which disinfects the instruments and also removes the small deposits that can’t be removed with manual cleaning. After the cycle of 45 minutes, instruments are washed again and dried.

Tier 3: Instrument Packing and Sterilization by Autoclave
The disinfected instruments are then packed in individualized sterile pack. All these packs are now autoclaved using our latest generation Euronda class-B autoclave. Please be aware, since many clinics are using class N autoclaves, which cannot achieve true sterilization, which is must for implant surgery. Our patients are reassured when a new pack of supplies is opened in front of them prior to treatment.

Tier 4: Instrument Storage in UV Chamber
Dental instruments in sterilized packages are stored in U.V CHAMBER to maintain the sterilization, which are opened in front of the patient.
